I intended to write a different post for today, but when I got Shauna Niequest’s newsletter yesterday—and read about her Delight List—I knew I had to change plans and make a list of my own.
1) Going to the grocery store and buying every sort of popsicle and ice cream bar which suits my fancy (better yet if I have a kid with me to choose a few of his own and help me carry the huge selection of ice cream bars and popsicles quickly home to the freezer).
2) Watching the cats stretch along the cool ceramic floor tiles in the kitchen to cool their tiny, furry bodies.
3) Sleeveless linen tunics from the sale rack at CP Shades (the pintucks down the front of the tunics I chose remind me of Victorian chemises).
P.S. I also loved reading Mrs. Quinn's Rise to Fame -- and have you gotten your hands on a copy of Ruth Reichl's new novel yet?!
Aww, thank you, my dear. I am a big fan of ice cream as well! I like cones, and also ice cream sandwiches (need to get a package of those for the house, come to think of it) 😊

I remember going to the CP Shades sample sale with my mom in Sausalito when I was in high school. I think we both still have things we bought there!
